Kerry Musselbrook
Kerry has worked at Iriss since 2013, using her skills in partnership working and inclusive approaches to co-design, test and embed positive change.
Since 2000 she has worked with learning partners and Scottish Government colleagues to co-design, test and embed an ASP National Minimum Dataset, using quarterly statistical data to inform strategy and practice improvement at local and national level. Kerry also leads on the Iriss Insights series, to share the evidence base, and is Chair of the Rural Social Work Forum to support and give voice to rural practitioners. Current and previous projects have involved working with multi-disciplinary partners, marginalised groups and people from a minority ethnic background. Her practice is grounded in rights-based approaches that offer peer support, collective and collaborative learning and leadership.
Kerry began her career as an educational researcher in academic environments and is interested in how people learn and access learning. Prior to joining Iriss she was Director of the South East Wider Access Forum, managing a programme of work on behalf of college and university partners. She is a big picture thinker and has a degree in History with Philosophy, a Masters in Media and Culture, and is interested in how new meaning can be made and communicated.
