Defensible decision-making (Tayside)
Useful for: All working in Adult Support and Protection
Defensible decision-making, in the context of Adult Support and Protection in Scotland, involves making decisions that are well-founded, transparent, and can be justified. This is a series of three training sessions, in Powerpoint, that look at ASP defensible-decision making in detail.
Session 1 covers introductions, initial decisions and thresholds, and a critical review of the ASP legislation.
Session 2 covers the threshold to risk and vulnerability, professional curiosity, and different ways of thinking.
Session 3 covers risk assessment, bias, thresholds, and chronologies. Also covered is learning from SCRs and ICRs.
