Useful for: Those working towards improved self-evaluation
This report presents a summary of key findings from an evaluation into a new initiative to develop skills, knowledge, and capacity around self-evaluation in Adult Support and Protection in Scotland. The purpose of the evaluation was to help shape a wider programme of support for robust multi- agency self-evaluation in Adult Support and Protection across Scotland.
This work was found to have helped partners learn through practice, to build their confidence and skills, and to work collaboratively across roles and agencies. The co-design of shared tools and using the Quality Improvement Framework supported consistency, while fostering a culture of reflection, learning, and continuous improvement. It also improved the use of data and evidence, linked self‑evaluation to governance and planning, and enabled learning to be shared and applied more widely across partnerships and other public protection areas.
