This factsheet is for residential care and care-at-home services. It helps them understand their responsibilities when responding to allegations that a care worker is causing harm to a person. This might be through deliberate acts or through neglect. It sets out do’s and don’ts when harm has been alleged or is suspected, supporting timely and legally compliant responses.
