Substance use
The problematic use of drugs or alcohol may take place alongside (and on occasions contribute to) a physical or mental illness, mental disorder or a condition such as alcohol related brain damage. If this is the case, an adult may be considered an adult at risk. The resources in this category will support Adult Support and Protection work with adults at risk who have serious issues with substance use.
