Developed in partnership with CYCJ and a number of partner agencies, The Child's Journey is an online interactive guide that describes the stages in the youth and criminal justice process for under 18s in Scotland, from suspicion of having committed an offence through to support after completion of sentence.
Although, as far as possible, young people should be kept out of the youth and criminal justice system, inevitably some young people do end up in formal systems, and it can be a confusing and frightening experience. This guide aims to provide accessible, coordinated information for young people, their families, professionals and academics.
